Who isn’t a fan of such noble goals?
The 16th annual Ryan’s Ride, the country’s largest kid’s race and ride, returns to Northern California’s Bay Area on Sunday, June 9, 2019 for one final ride, with its sights set on once again achieving these two goals, while bringing smiles to hundreds of kids.
While Ryan’s Ride normally is the opening act of the Burlingame Criterium, this year’s ride has downtown Burlingame and the day to itself.
Whether your little one is a seasoned crit racer, can’t wait for cyclocross season or ready to try her first balance bike race, Ryan’s Ride offers all kids the perfect chance to ride and race on car-free downtown streets and enjoy a day of fun.
Young riders from 2 years old up to 12 will race laps of a 0.4-mile course, cross the line to earn a popsicle reward, and finish with a fun-filled festival.
The event celebrates the short life of Ryan Phua, and raises funds for the community and to fight cancer.
Ryan’s family is ready to make this final ride the biggest and the best yet.
Pre-registration for the free event ends Thursday, although ride-day sign-ups are possible.
