Reed City is “wheeling out” a new addition to one of their parks.
Reed city native Jonathan Zelinski, who’s been heading up this project, had the idea back in 2020 during the pandemic.
He presented the idea to the city council twice before it was approved.
Zelinski says he hopes to have areas for beginners, intermediates, and experts.
“To have something here, localized, somewhere they can progress in a safe environment that’s encouraging that progression, they don’t have to gas themselves biking five miles out to get to a jump, it’s all right here,” he said.
Zelinski is hosting a volunteer work day on Saturday Oct. 1 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. to help clean up the field the bike park will go in.
