When did you buy it?
What made you choose this bike?
So I always wanted a fixed gear bike, but not necessarily a track frame, when I saw specialized made this I had to have it, plus bottle mounts. I set this bike up to do road rides this is NOT a (hipster fixie).
Have you done any modifications/additions to it?
Everything as I bought it as a frame and fork.
How many miles/kilometers do you do a year?
10,000 miles/year but sometimes life gets in the way.
What do you love about this bike?
I love the simplicity, I love that it keeps you honest (no excuses on a fixed gear) I love how snappy it is what you put into it is what you get out of it.
Favorite riding areas?
I can’t complain Irvine is very good for riding. And no it’s not majestical, nor romantic country side riding, but it gets the job done.
Top riding experience on your bike?
Just enjoying the journey and meeting people along the way.
Gearing currently 48×16, tires. Other than that nothing I built it up frame and fork the way I wanted it from the get go.
So I decided to submit to readers rigs as I’ve received so many compliments I wanted to share the stoke. If you see me out there or at my favorite watering hole stop by say ‘hi’ I will buy you a beer. I’ve owned a lot of bikes over the years and this is by far the best bike I have ever owned! Sure I have a carbon geared bike with disc Di2 and all the whiz bang gizmos, but when it comes time to choose which one to ride I usually choose fixed gear as it’s fun. And at the end of the day I still ride because it’s fun.
Thanks to Kev for sharing his much loved ride with us. Got a bike that you’re proud of?
